Procedure:	Chickens were immunized with highly purified dog C-Reactive Protein (CRP) isolated from the sera of dogs containing high levels of CRP. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY fraction prepared. The anti-CRP was solid-phased absorbed with dog serum containing no CRP until it showed a single band with serum containing the acute phase protein. The specific anti-Dog CRP was immunoaffinity purified from a solid phase immunoabsorbant.
Specifications:	C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is one of the major acute phase proteins involved in acute reactions to trauma, infections, certain malignancies and other inflammatory processes. Measurement of CRP can indicate the presence and severity of certain clinical situations and monitor the results of treatments. Recommended dilution for Western blots is: 1:1000 - 1:5000. For ELISA coating, recommended dilution is between 1:100 and 1:300.
