Procedure:
Chickens were immunized with highly purified rat Serum Amyloid Protein isolated from rat serum. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY fraction prepared. The antibodies were immunoaffinity purified from a solid phase immunoabsorbant.
Specifications:
The affinity purified antibody reacts monospecifically with Rat SAP by immunoelectrophoresis and gel diffusion. Recommended dilution for Western blots is: 1:1000 to 1:5000. For ELISA coating, recommended dilution is between 1:200 and 1:500.
